Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6-7 pm via Zoom
Where Did I Come From? is an interactive virtual workshop designed to teach young people all about families and reproduction, also known as how babies are made! Caregivers and their young people will engage in many short conversations that promote comfort, connection and confidence on both sides to serve as the foundation for future dialogue. Zoom details will be shared two weeks prior to workshop.
Intended Audience: 3rd – 4th grade students and their parents and guardians
Learning Outcomes for Students:
- By the end of the session, students will learn:
- How human families are similar to our favorite animal families
- The body parts in male and female bodies that are needed for reproduction
- How families grow, including the basics of pregnancy and adoption
Learning Outcomes For Parents:
- By the end of session, parents will learn:
- Age appropriate ways to talk to their young person about how babies are made and how families grow and change
- How to develop their own comfort level talking about family dynamics and challenges
