Puberty Talk Adapted for All Abilities (PTAAA) is a puberty education curriculum designed specifically to help educate young people with various learning differences and support needs. This curriculum includes two sets of lessons: a 6-lesson course designed for students with mild to moderate support needs (MMSN) as well as 12 stand-alone “core” lessons designed for students with more extensive support needs (ESN). Teachers can choose to implement either or a combination of lessons, selecting appropriate content based on students’ age, needs, and abilities.
The California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA) requires that sexual health and HIV prevention education must be taught by instructors trained in the appropriate courses. If your organization is new to Health Connected, we will reach out after your purchase to discuss your organization’s training implementation plan. You can also review our training options here.
